Häme University of Applied Sciences HAMK has launched a new collaboration network BeFINE (Biotechnology & Food Innovation Network), in partnership with The City of Hämeenlinna and Linna Business Development Ltd. BeFINE brings together research, companies, the city and education to develop practices that support national preparedness. Alongside creating sustainable business opportunities, the network focuses on solutions for critical challenges in bio-based food and material production — challenges intensified by pandemics, the impacts of climate change and the loss of biodiversity.
